Salwach Photography is a studio (read more about our studio sessions here) and in-home newborn photographer in the South Jersey region. In-home newborn sessions are the ideal way to experience all the perfection of a newborn session with the amazing convenience of being in your own home. No driving involved and allows you all the safety and comforts of home while I take care of every little detail of your newborn’s photo. Feel free to grab a cup of coffee, fold laundry or take a nap while I work my magic! You’re also welcome to sit with me and watch the magic unfold.
What Do I Bring to Your In-Home newborn session?
You may be wondering are you going to experience all the benefits of our studio sessions at you home? And I can happily tell you I bring everything to make your session as perfect as our studio sessions. Some people’s eyes grow a bit wide as I come in with all my studio equipment especially my 84” umbrella and lighting system, but I want you to have the same flawless high quality portraits as you can expect at the studio. What do you bring to an in home newborn session? I bring absolutely everything needed for a full newborn session to your home! This includes lighting equipment, heater, posing props, bowls, baskets, wraps, blankets, hats, clothing and headbands and hats.
I generally base which props and such to bring off the contact I send you upon booking. When you complete your contract form, there is a section dedicated to color and theme preferences. This will allow you to give me a sense of what your style is and what colors I need to pack. I’ll follow your lead and then I normally pack a surprise or two! There is also a section on your contract form where you can upload any reference photos you like. This gives me idea on poses and props you’d like. Are you more simplistic or do you like more the bucket and bowl poses with lots of flowers and greenery?
How should I prepare for your arrival?
I will need a room for me to set up my lighting and have use to throughout the session. I will use my heater through your session to keep your babe nice and warm for sleepy moments. I will also use either a table in your home or sofa to take our blanket poses on. Please feed your little angel before my arrival. This way they are nice and sleepy when I arrive and I am able to get right to work.
Sibling and Family Photos
Sibling and family photos are taken as lifestyle images anywhere in your home! Some popular spots are in a bedroom on the bed, on a couch in the living room, family room, nursery or even outside (weather permitting). For sibling photos, I will also bring a large rug to allow laying down photos with the newborn.
He was just the sweetest little baby. His beautiful head of dark blonde hair was perfect for all the colors mama picked out for him. I just know he’ll grow up to be as cute as his older brother Carter, who gave me all the best smiles!
